Successful sale of Unicept GmbH

Hanover, September 11, 2017 - Insolvency administrator Dr. iur. h.c. Rainer M. Bähr, partner of the nationwide insolvency administration and restructuring consultancy hww hermann wienberg wilhelm, successfully sold the business operations of Unicept, Hanover. Unicept was a developer for mobile security solutions in the field of IT security hardware and software.

As a strategic purchaser, certgate GmbH from Nuremberg has taken over the development department and other assets of the company and a significant part of the employees with effect from July 1, 2017. This was preceded by a global search for investors in which numerous well-known companies had participated.

At the end of April 2017, Unicept GmbH filed for insolvency proceedings. The Hanoverian lawyer Dr. iur. h.c. Rainer M. Bähr was initially appointed as preliminary insolvency administrator and when insolvency proceedings were opened, he was appointed as insolvency administrator. "I am pleased that the search for investors has been successful in such a short time," explains Bähr. SSC Consult Corporate Finance GmbH & Co. KG accompanied the investor process.
